Hey everyone, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you had a day that brought some positive experiences into your life! In this article, I would like to discuss the psychology behind an interesting topic and hope you will be able to expand your knowledge.
A trance state is also a state of altered consciousness that is somewhat reminiscent of the state of sleep, but trance can also be considered as a connection between the sleep and waking phase. During this state, the human psyche is strongly changed and there is a limitation of motor skills and general perception and during this state, people are more receptive to informations and it can be used to deal with certain topics better. The subconscious is particularly active and this is also the place where deep-seated memories, sensory impressions or other things are stored and while humans are in a trance state, they have a kind of key to this hidden part of the mind and this can be used especially to detach oneself from certain habits or deep-seated experiences which are also often associated with triggers and a good example where it is specifically used is hypnosis. These moments are also used to heal physical illnesses and were already of great importance in ancient cultures such as shamanistic practises or meditation exercises and there are numerous other ways to create trance states such as through dances, music or exercises in which mindfulness is increased. During this state, people are highly focussed and it is also interesting to observe that the senses only function to a limited extent and one must always consider this topic individually because it always depends entirely on the setting and the constitution of the individual how intense this state can be and particularly intense trance states can also be linked to occultism and help to experience mystical or supernatural experiences. Trance states are triggered more often than some might think and often this happens quite unconsciously during everyday situations and it can happen that someone is outside and surrounded by a certain sounds such as the sining of birds and quite subliminally this situation can lead to people falling into a trance state and often this also occurs when one is surrounded by persistent sensory impressions as if the eyes are focussed on a certain target for a long time, which is in constant movement.
