Hey dear Hiveans and friends of art, I hope you are all doing well and you had a day that was full of positive experiences! In my new post, I would like to present you a wonderful work of art and go into the history behind it.
Here you can see a work of art that was created by glazing and it is a copy that was made by my grandfather. Artistically, the painting is at a high level and the artist has worked in great detail and created a work of art which I really like. The original painting was painted by the German-Swiss artist Hans Holbein the Younger (1497 - 1543) and it presents a portrait of the Swiss scholar Bonifacius Amerbach (1495 - 1562).
The original painting of Hans Holbein the Younger was created in 1519 and was painted with oil on pine wood. He is one of the most famous painters of the Renaissance and has created over 150 paintings. He already comes from an artist family and his father Hans Holbein the Elder was already considered one of the most important artists of his time. During his lifetime, he spent a lot of time in England and changed his art style there. This painting on my pictures was created by the painting technique glazing and hope you like it!
Many thanks for stopping by and watching! I captured the pictures with my Sony Alpha 6000 and 55-210mm lens!
