To be honest, I have not heard or seen much of political tensions and China is probably much more open now than a few years ago. I had a great time there and got to know a lot about the culture :) That's true, but I was able to see many other exciting things. I had to make a reservation for many things beforehand, but it was actually only like that in Beijing. In other cities like Shanghai, everything is much more open in this regard. True, Beijing is extremely safe compared to other cities in the world, visitors here don't need to worry. Wish you a great day dear @thebighigg
