Hey dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you had a day full of interesting experiences! In this article, I would like to discuss coffee and take a closer look at the effects on the human brain.

Many people like to drink coffee and consider it a kind of stimulant or way to improve their own concentration or performance and the active ingredient of coffee is caffeine which has a strong influence on the psyche and it is also one of the most commonly consumed substances in the world. Caffeine is also an alkaloid and can be classified as a psychoactive substance and it takes only a few minutes for the caffeine to enter the blood after consumption and spread throughout the whole body to reach also the brain and also affects the central nervous system and can also ensure that hormones are released such as the happiness hormone dopamine as well as adrenaline and it also suppresses the substance adenosine which is responsible for people getting tired. What happens from a chemical point of view in the brain through the consumption of coffee is that stress is triggered and ensures that certain organs have to work more and so it also happens that blood pressure rises and in some people it can also have an enormous influence on sleep behavior and result in disturbances or in bad cases this can even lead to disorders of the brain and can change the structure and some people react with panic attacks or anxiety. Of course, it must always be considered individually and there are various influences that influence the effect on the brain such as the dosage or regularity of consumption and excessive consumption severely impairs memory and limits performance and cognitive abilities suffer from it and the consumption of small amounts at regular intervals can also have a positive effect on the brain and protect against diseases or has anti-inflammatory properties.

Regular consumption can also cause the body to get more and more accustomed to it and it leads to the development of addiction and a dependence on caffeine is often underestimated and can lead to serious physical symptoms and the psyche becomes heavily burdened and the moments of consumption are also stored in the human subconscious and if, for example, people always drink coffee when they have symptoms of fatigue, the probability is higher that they will use this drink again when they get tired again and these links also contribute to the regularity of consumption. The patterns that arise from an addiction to coffee are stored in the subconscious and it also comes to the fact that certain triggers are generated and if the consumption fails, it may be that when people walk past a cafe, they unconsciously change the behavior and trigger a new desire and because coffee is so far widespread, people are quickly tempted to drink it again and the effect of this drink is from an psychological point of view extremely interesting and especially the follow-up reactions are not to be neglected.
