Hey everyone, I wish you a good day and hope you were able to use it well! Here I would like to present you one or the other black and white photo that I took for the #monomad challenge. A nostalgic photo challenge hosted by @monochromes, I can only recommend every photo friend to take a closer look at it.
I chose metal art as a theme and discovered an interesting and abstract motif that I would like to share. I recorded this artwork during one of my last visits to a park, which is partly based on Japan style and in order to go into more detail, it is an ornament of a gutter. It depicts a dragon that is supposed to conduct the rainwater through the mouth, something very own and definitive abstract as I find! The artist worked very precisely and left almost no detail to be desired, this can be seen especially in the teeth or generally in the authentic facial expressions that the dragon expresses.
The dragon is often associated with chaos and in mythology and can be found in many different ancient myths. In many cultures, he is a mixture of a reptile and a bird, which is also reminiscent of a snake. In ancient times, the dragon was a ruler symbol and in Chinese culture a sign of royalty, happiness or intelligence. The dragon also often appears in Greek and Roman mythology, such as in Greek mythology Ladon, a dragon with more heads who received the order from Hera to guard the golden apple.
Last but not least, I would like to thank you very much for stopping by and hope you liked my entry and appreciate it! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens!
