Here are pictures that I took from the full moon today in slightly cloudy weather and this moon in november is also known as the beaver moon and this meaning can be traced back to the fact that the natives of America at this time dressed with the fur of beavers to be safe from the cold and this moon is also called fog moon. In this post, I would also like to present a moon god who was revered in ancient Egypt and is known as Chons. In addition, chons was associated with healing and even pharaohs appreciated his healing skills and many more people took advantage of his miraculous healings. One of his other tasks was to control the moon and to ensure that people also have a light at night and therefore he often bears the name Lord of Light and his name means wanderer or traveler by the way and in addition he is also responsible for defining the time. As in other cultures, the moon god chon was associated with fertility and he was often called as an obstetrician in later life and he was revered throughout Egypt and owned several places of worship such as in the temple of Karnak. He is also known as the son of the king among the gods Amun as well as his wife Mut and he is depicted very differently in representations and often he is depicted with a head of a falcon or a crescent which he wears on his head. Sometimes he is also depicted with a stick or the Ankh symbol in his hands and he also wore a chain and sometimes he was depicted in the form of a baboon.
