She knew that not in everything you do you win she knew it was you win some and you loose some, she wasn’t necessarily a winner but this time around she wasn’t not backing down without a fight.
She got up early that morning, rehearsing her speech in the mirror while brushing and doing her makeup, there was no other way for her, she had to get the contract otherwise she would loose her job, her only shot at survival.
This contract had more confident persons with a track record of winning vying for it and although Jane had not won anything in forever she somehow got the chance to try.
It was d-day and everyone came out all shiny and ready, she was a bit disorganized but when she got on stage and started talking, her confidence level went up. And surprise surprise she still lost.
In the end she wasn’t a winner. Maybe next time at least now she has more confidence in winning.
