Hello friends!
I want to show you a set of polymer clay jewelry that I made using a stamp. It consists of a pair of reversible earrings, a necklace and a ring. This technique is not as complicated as it might seem at first glance, and the result will surely please you.
I will tell and show everything in order using the example of bilateral earrings.
It all started with the fact that I saw in the supermarket a set of four mini molds for decorating (stamps) confectionery. I immediately realized that they could be used in creating polymer clay jewelry, and on the go I began to come up with options for using such a “treasure”.
Tools and materials:
• Polymer clay dark green and yellow,
• Stamps,
• Dry art pastel,
• Toothpicks,
• Brushes,
• Manicure dots with a ball at the end,
• Stationery knife,
• Pasta machine for plastic sheeting,
• As a work surface - a piece of tile (then baked products on it)
The first step is to knead the polymer clay well:
After that, the base color (in my case, dark green) needs to be rolled out into a layer about 1 mm thick. rolling pin or pasta machine and place on a work surface. I use regular tile from refurbishment leftovers. You can use plain white paper and bake directly on it.
Now let's start working with the stamp. First of all, it must be treated from the inside with something that will prevent the clay from sticking inside. I used gold colored eye shadow, but you can use regular starch or wet it with water.
We take a small piece of yellow polymer clay, stretch it with our hands into a pancake approximately the size of the stamp and press it tightly to the stamp:
You can roll it with something so that the surface becomes even and the stamp pattern begins to show through a little. Here it is important to calculate the amount of clay so that it is enough to fill the entire stamp pattern, but not too much, otherwise it will be difficult to work further. You also need to remove excess clay along the contour of the stamp:
Now you need to press the stamp with yellow clay to the green layer. It is necessary to press, evenly distributing the pressing force:
After that, the stamp is removed in one motion. Here's what happens:
It is necessary to crumble the desired colors of dry pastels onto a sheet in order to tint the product. Pastels need a little:
We cut out our blanks with a round mold. Instead of a form, you can use various caps from cosmetics and perfumes that are suitable in size.
Toning with pastel as desired:
You can stop already at this stage, make holes in the blanks and bake. After assembly, you will get good earrings with a smooth dark green reverse side.
I also doted the seam a bit, smoothing it out and textured the edges around the yellow print.
I wanted to make a two-sided version of the earrings, so I made 4 of these blanks. I tinted two with yellow, and made two with a darker orange-red hue.
Then she pressed them together with her fingers, and connected them with a strip of clay, pressing with a toothpick:
I made a strip-edging by twisting two thin threads of polymer clay into one, and then I pressed it to the surface with the flat side of a clerical knife:
Here's what happens:
You can leave it like that, or you can, like me, tint a little more with eye shadow.
I like this metallic effect. And do not forget to make holes:
By the same principle, I made three elements for a necklace and a ring.
From the remains of green and yellow polymer clay, I made beads based on foil.
We send a friendly company to bake in the oven. I have an electric convection oven.
It is important to adhere to the temperature and baking time indicated on the packaging of the polymer clay from which you are sculpting.
After baking, let the products cool, but you need to remember to remove the beads from the toothpicks while they are still warm, because when they are completely cool, it will be more difficult to do.
We collect earrings and necklaces. I used ordinary silver hooks and rings to assemble the earrings.
Here's what happened in the end:
In my opinion, there is no need to varnish, because pastels and shadows are securely fixed on polymer clay when baked in the oven. And the varnish can fill in the elements of the pattern, thereby spoiling the final look of the decoration.

I hope you enjoy my work. Please post your questions in the comments below this post.
If my master class inspires someone to create such an ornament, I will be very happy!
Good luck in your work! ! !
