Have you seen the movie Alien: Prometheus?

  • The movie was originally conceived as a prequel to the Alien movie and the first version of the script (titled Alien: Engineers) included many more elements from the franchise. For example, the movie was to take place on LV-426, the planetoid from the original "Alien" movie, which is home to a mysterious pyramid. It contains eggs containing early forms of facehuggers.

  • David's character appears as he wanders the ship and the rest of the crew is in cryosleep. This is done to discreetly hint to the audience that he is in fact an android.

-When creating the planet on which the action would take place, the creatures and technology, director Scott instructed the design team to strive for an image that could logically precede the original film and not rely too much on Swiss artist H.R. Giger's design of the planet and the xenomorphs. However, almost all of the team's drawings ended up containing subliminal "Gigerian" embellishments, and also drew inspiration from several of Giger's unused sketches. In the end, it was decided to invite Giger himself, who approved the use of his old ideas and gave additional material on reengineering his designs.

For the Day of Cosmonautics we decided to hold a meeting dedicated to such an unusual and interesting topic. The author is in charge of Alien Creativity by Elena Samoryadova. Elena, thank you very much for gorgeous illustrations 😘.

We offer two postcards for exchange. Did you find the exchange? Don't be lazy to mark πŸ˜‰
