TBT Contest one photo one story one of those days - One of the few photos I have/Concurso TBT una foto una historia un día de esos - Una de las pocas fotos que tengo
This is one of the few photos that includes three people I love. The National Guard full dress uniform I wore was from my preschool graduation party, back in 1989 in Guanare, Venezuela, I believe.
There are few events that I remember from this stage, but on the contrary, I do remember this one a lot. In this picture appear my mom, my dad, and my older brother. It wasn't a normal party, but it was very memorable; that day my mom sang llanera music and my dad brought his band to harmonize the parranda.
The uniform I was wearing (which I still have) was because the kindergarten where I graduated operated within a detachment of the National Guard (my country's military guard), and I suppose that the graduating children had the brilliant idea of wearing their full dress uniforms.
That photo must be over forty years old, I'm 43.
I think being an adult is much more boring than being a child; as a child, you think about running, playing, eating, and being happy playing again. You could even live happily with a cardboard box. In my life experience, I had a lot of that and good folk music from my country, since my mom organized countless parties with important artists from my country and I really enjoyed many of those concerts. Today, my dad is no longer with us, but seeing him in this photo is as if he were always alive. My mom and my older brother, even though they're still alive, already have a lot more gray hair than I do... We really go back in time with #tbt, and I still carry so much happiness and music in my mind, both from the memories of my parents and my family and in excess; much of what I continue to be like as a naive child...
The photos are mine, from the archive of life I revisit often in my solitude to find happiness again, and below these lines, I've attached a photo of my parents making good music. Until next time, God bless...
