[EN/PT] My End of Year Destination: Chapada Diamantina - Bahia/Brazil
This year I decided to spend the last week of the year in a different way, as most of the time we spend it with the family. Our destination was Chapada Diamantina, where we left on 12/29/2022 and returned on 01/01/2023.
Leaving the State of Sergipe, we travel for about 9 hours to the first destination, the municipality of Lenc贸is/Bahia. Which is the main lodging base and also the city with the greatest offer of services, tourist agencies and restaurants among the tourist destinations of Chapada Diamantina.
After knowing a little about the city of Lenc贸is, our first adventure was to go on a trail to Ribeir茫o do Meio, the natural toboggan run of Chapada Diamantina. This trail lasted about 1 hour until you reach the Ribeir茫o do Meio river, on foot. But it was really worth it, we spent the rest of the morning enjoying it and of course I also went down the natural toboggan, too bad I didn't record this feat. 馃槄
In the afternoon, after lunch, we went to the postcard of Chapada Diamantina, Morro do Pai In谩rcio, 26 km from Len莽贸is. And the scenery at the top of this mountain is really to fall in love with. The walk to Morro do Pai In谩cio is among the most popular in Len莽贸is and, although it seems to be a very difficult climb, Pai In谩cio is a possible walk for almost everyone. The trail that leads to the top of the hill is only 500 meters long, but it takes a little breath to overcome the climb. Nothing a few photo stops can't fix.
Chapada Diamantina is not only rich in waterfalls, but also in diverse geological formations. There are several caves and many are still not cataloged with their real extension. During our trip, we discovered the Lapa Doce Cave, which has an easily accessible trail that takes about 40 minutes to complete this tour. This was the destination I loved the most in Chapada Diamantina, as the geological formations formed inside the Cave are truly magical.
Finally, we met two waterfalls, the first one is Cachoeira Pai Inarcio, which is close to Morro Pai Inarcio, taking a trail of about 1 hour, all trails were done on foot. Arriving at the waterfall, we spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the river below the waterfall.
And the next day, we visited the Po莽o do Diabo Waterfall. To reach this destination, the trail was not long, but the path is difficult to access. There are three ways to access the waterfall: Go down the zipline, go down by rappel or go down following the stone trail. I didn't go down to the waterfall, because according to our guide the bath in it wasn't very good. Then, we return to bathe in a stretch before this waterfall.
Traveling is always good, especially if you are in contact with nature. Getting to know Chapada Diamantina was magical, and there are still many destinations to be explored on a next trip to this beautiful place.
[PT] Meu Destino de Final de Ano: Chapada Diamantina - Bahia/ Brasil
Este ano decidi passar a 煤ltima semana do ano de uma forma diferente, pois na maioria das vezes passamos com a fam铆lia. Nosso destino foi Chapada Diamantina, onde sa铆mos dia 29/12/2022 e retornamos no dia 01/01/2023.
Saindo do Estado de Sergipe percorremos cerca de 9 horas de viajem at茅 o primeiro destino, o municipio de Lenc贸is-Bahia. Que 茅 a principal base de hospedagem e tamb茅m a cidade com maior oferta de servi莽os, ag锚ncias de turismo e restaurantes entre os destinos tur铆sticos da Chapada Diamantina.
Ap贸s conhece um pouco da cidade de Lenc贸is nossa primeira aventura foi fazer uma trilha at茅 Ribeir茫o do Meio, o tobog茫 natural da Chapada Diamantina. Essa trilha durou cerca de 1 hora at茅 chega ao rio de Ribeir茫o do Meio, a p茅. Mas valeu muito a pena passamos o resto da manh茫 aproveitando e 茅 claro tamb茅m desci no Tobog茫 natural, pena que n茫o fiz nenhum registro desta proesa. 馃槄
No per铆odo da tarde, depois do almo莽o fomos ao cart茫o postal de Chapada Diamantina, o Morro do Pai In谩rcio, distante 26km de Len莽贸is. E o cen谩rio no topo desta montanha 茅 mesmo de apaixonar. O passeio para o Morro do Pai In谩cio est谩 entre os mais populares de Len莽贸is e, apesar de parecer ser uma subida muito dif铆cil, o Pai In谩cio 茅 uma caminhada poss铆vel para quase todo mundo. A trilha que leva ao topo do morro tem apenas 500 metros, mas 茅 preciso um pouco de f么lego para vencer a subida. Nada que algumas paradas para fotos n茫o resolvam.
A Chapada Diamantina 茅 rica n茫o s贸 em cachoeiras, mas tamb茅m diversas forma莽玫es geol贸gicas. Existe diversas grutas e muitas ainda n茫o s茫o catalogadas com sua real extens茫o. Conhecemos em nossa viajem a Gruta da Lapa Doce, que possui uma trilha de f谩cil acesso com cerca de 40 minutos para realizar este passeio. Este foi o destino que mais amei em Chapada Diamantina, pois as forma莽玫es geologicas formadas no interior da Gruta s茫o realmente m谩gicas.
Por fim, conhecemos duas cachoeiras a primeira a Cachoeira Pai Inarcio, que fica pr贸ximo ao Morro Pai Inarcio, fazendo uma trilha de cerca de 1 hora, todas as trilhas foram feitas a p茅. Chegando a cachoeira passamos o resto da tarde aproveitando o rio abaixo da queda d'谩gua.
E no dia seguinte, conhecemos a Cachoeira do Po莽o do Diabo. Para chegar a este destino a trilha n茫o era longa, por茅m o caminho 茅 de dificil acesso. Para ter acesso a cachoeira existem tr锚s maneiras: Descer pela tirolesa, descer por rapeu ou descer seguindo a trilha de pedras. Eu n茫o desci at茅 a cachoeira, pois segundo nosso guia o banho nela n茫o era muito bom. Ent茫o, retornamos para tomar banho em um trecho antes desta cachoeira.
Viajar 茅 sempre bom, principalmente se em contato com a natureza. Conhecer Chapada Diamantina foi m谩gico, e olha que ainda h谩 muitos destinos a serem explorados em uma pr贸xima viajem a este lindo lugar.
