1. Unforgiven (1992) - Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end when Munney makes his speech to Little Bill.

2. Blue Ruin (2013) - This might be one of the most tense thrillers I've ever watched. I felt like I was right there with the character as everything goes to shit, and it was terrifying. The violence is so brutal and seems pretty realistic.

3. Oldboy (2003) - The korean version of course (sorry had to, didn't want people to get confused)

4. I Saw the Devil (2010) - One of the best revenge flicks I have ever seen. Brutal, but awesome.

5. John Wick (2014) - I love how the initial revenge happens within the first 5 minutes of the movie. Then we have the revenge for the act of revenge.

6. Payback (1999) - A lot of Mel Gibson films are good revenge films.

7. Man on Fire (2004) - My goosebumps could cut glass when Denzel starts screaming "do you understand me? I want you" down the phone. Seriously cold shit.

8. Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) - Yeah, Quentin Terrantino films seem to scratch that itch quite well.

9. The Revenant - That final scene is clearly a revenge killing and a damn good one too. Leo's acting was amazing in this film, but I do think he was upstaged by Tom. I had no idea it was him, knew Tom was in it and was struggling to spot him until maybe 30 minutes in when I thought I'd seen all the cast members.

10. True Grit (2010) - Loved it, and I could see the success coming. It's easily their most accessible movie - it's a no-nonsense western with an all-star cast, rave reviews, and Jeff Bridges kicking two small Indian children off a porch.
