I Was Fooled

I didn't really know how and why I got fooled by this little spider. I think this one is a ground crab spider because of the shape of its face.

I was scanning over the top of the low garden wall when I found him coming out from the bushes, and as soon as I spotted him I tried to aim my camera at him. I might bump into some dead leaves in the process, thus scaring the spider. And its immediate reaction is to play dead. I was puzzled when I saw him lying sideways because I was pretty sure I was him coming out alive from the bushes.

This is when I flipped him over to see his face.

And this is when bumped into the leaves and then he went into the dead mode.

Then this little guy decided to take no more of my nonsense, when I finished taking my last photos of its front side, he just sprang up into action and went back into the bushes. It left me in awe since I was fooled that easily.
