Six C’s Things That I Found in My Phone Gallery | Alphabet Hunt Contest
Hello Bangla Hive community—I hope you are all doing well. I am delighted to finally join this round of the alphabet contest hunt, after having to skip the previous two due to a busy schedule.
The six items I am sharing here are the results of a "hunt" through my phone's gallery—or, more accurately, my Google Photos account.
Alright, without further ado, here are the six items starting with the letter "C" that I found during my hunt.
1. Castle
This is a photo of Kumamoto Castle. I had the opportunity to visit Japan in 2017. It was my first time traveling abroad for a work-related trip. I hope it won't be the last time I get to visit another country.
When I visited, many parts of the castle were still undergoing repairs following the earthquake. Consequently, some areas were closed to visitors, and repair work was still in progress at several locations.
2. Cliffs
The road here is flanked by limestone cliffs on both sides. In fact, the hill was deliberately excavated to extract limestone for construction material. This road serves as one of the access routes to a beach popular with tourists. I’m afraid I’ve forgotten the name of the beach; I visited it with friends back then. The cliffs have become a popular photo spot, drawing crowds—especially at sunset.
It always amazes me how visitors from outside the area often seem to know about these beautiful spots better than the locals do. Even I—a native Balinese—only discovered this place because I saw so many people sharing photos from here on Instagram.
People are even willing to queue up for a photo, sometimes to the point of blocking traffic moving to or from the beach.
3. Cups
A few weeks ago, I accompanied my wife shopping for household furniture in a shop that specifically sells household furniture. There is a section specifically for displaying cutlery. One of them is a shelf containing cups with various designs and colors.
4. Chocolate Cake
Who could possibly say no to a chocolate cake like the one in this photo? This dessert was served at the hotel restaurant where I was attending an event. A chocolate cake like this doesn't just tempt you to taste it immediately—it also begs to be photographed.
I was lucky enough to snap a picture while the cakes were still intact, as I was the first to arrive. I imagine that had I been even a little late, this neatly lined-up row of chocolate cakes would have lost most—if not all—of its members. Hehe.
5. Car
I took this photo while queuing to pay my vehicle tax. The rain had just stopped, leaving behind puddles in several places. Before long, the dark clouds gave way to clear skies, as if it had never rained at all, allowing the puddles to create beautiful reflections of the surrounding scene.
6. Caterpillar
This is a large caterpillar I photographed a few years ago. It appeared to be preparing to transform into a chrysalis.
It had a very unique shape and a bright green color. The sides of its head featured markings that resembled large, eerie-looking eyes.
