It's been more fall like weather the last few days and the leaves on a couple of trees have already started to change. Today I did my walk in a nature preserve.
I like this forest because it has a lot of dead trees that add a unique and colorful look to the area.
They are like monuments to the dead. But even through their death they bring life like these tiny mushrooms growing on a dead log...
I was surprised there was not a lot of wildlife, just a couple of birds on the water...
And a woodpecker...
I was surprised to stumble upon a reading library in the middle of the forest...
Very little in the way of flowers and just a few water lillies....
It was a short walk in distance but took over an hour because of all the pics I took.
I'd like to end it off by saying Go Buffalo Bills... They could go all the way... lol
