This old friend do very much like the music you shared above. Am not too fond of opera, but music from the classical genre I do like. Obviously not all, but Beethoven is a BIG YES :)
Not too long ago I watch a long, multi-episode series about Beethoven, by a number one fan. I thought I posted about this at HIVE, but it looks like I didn't. The guy from this series gave himself the task to direct/conduct the ninth. Took him months and months (well, maybe even a year or two) before he felt ok to direct, supported by some of the big names in the classical scene, from players to conductors and directors. So he did, with moderate success in my opinion :)
