I don't understand any justification of her murder - it was a point blank shooting directly at her face/head.

This is what I took away from the post as well. I didn't see any video nor image. I already mentioned in my main comment: How can shooting a driver of a car to death, be the best defence to not be hit by the car. Even when the driver was intended to hit Ross, how can he ever conclude that his best defence was to shoot the driver without knowing what the car will do when the driver isn't in control anymore of the car? Best defence is to jump away.
