Little Butu was a little lively dog with a magnificent, shiny brown coat and bright, curious eyes. Since the old Butu passed on, I felt the need to get another one to fill the empty void. Though he is just a few weeks old with me, he has brought much joy and excitement by his liveliness, he was full of energy and he loved leaping around, everywhere. He loved chasing after things and chewing on things, especially my foot wears, so I decided to get him a toy to chew on instead.
"Bounce" could roll and bounce and squeak and it came in very bright colours, it was just the perfect toy for Butu, I thought, as I picked it up from the toy shop. I couldn't wait to get home.
"Bounce" had been with Butu for a week now, and he never let it out of his sight but he really didn't play with it as I expected. He would roll it and sit watching its movement with wariness, but that excitement wasn't there. I longed to know what was going on in Butu's mind as he sat watching "bounce" roll.
But this morning, Butu woke up super excited. He tossed "bounce" up in the air, pounced on it, and then curled up for a nap, with "bounce" safely tucked between his paws. He had been surprisingly attached to the toy and it's like going forward, no day would be complete without a romp with "bounce".
