Immersed in his books
He reads all day for fun
Beneath the bright Sunny Skies
John sits, lingeringly
The Captain of our class
We call him, "Bookworm John".
Between those pages
He misses much fun
"Aren't you tired of reading
.... Of studying so much books"?
Drowning himself always
Reading all the printed words
I knew I should read some too
But I'm just too lazy to.
He stays up late into the night
Devouring books along his way
Only he dared break the library rules
"Bookworm John", studies outside.
I don't understand why
He simply loves to read
Me and my mates love to play
Beneath the bright Sunny Skies.
Even in this one rainy day
My mates and I loved the rain
But "Bookworm John", sat reading
Never looking up from his books.
