Hello from Torry again!
Oh my this pup is a nightmare:D In the best sense of that word, if it even has one!
He has so much energy that I cant really stop him when he gets on a rally like usually:D
This is him on my bed while I am working on my drawings. He usually sleeps there but when I turn around he is always in this position:D There is no way I can not pet him then. I think he does this on purpose!
Cuteness, like beauty and many other things I think, is in the eye of the beholder. Like many other people in the world, I find puppies to be very cute.
To some point, we are hardwired to find babies of most any species appealing. Wr all love cuteness in the world. We are drawn to the larger head and eyes (in proportion to the rest of the body) that young animals have. Most of the times.
That reaction to infants helps keep them alive, because it leads us to take care of and nurture these otherwise helpless ones. Other animals than humans also behave this way, acting in nurturing ways to the very young, sometimes even of other species. I once saw a video on youtube when I tiger helped a baby monkey. I guess the she saw the baby cute and did not want to attack it.
I think that the label of “cute” is a simple way of referring to the appeal young ones have to us. But people are different, and our cultures or our individual experience may lead some of us to not find puppies, or kittens, or babies in genera, or even baby humans to be cute.
