April fool’s day is an annual celebration in most countries including Nigeria and this is done on April first by playing practical jokes on friends, family members and neighbors.
In the neighborhood of late chief Ehigie, lived a man called Mr. Osas, he pulled off some of the most famous April fool’s day pranks his neighbors thought was true that when they found out it was all a hoax , they were shocked, heartbroken and disappointed . Mr. Osas is different from other people when it has to do with pranks because of the time and careful planning he puts into his pranks every April 1.
One of the famous pranks he played on his neighbors was the kidnap of his wife.
He was moody for a day or two leading to the deal day (April 1) and people in the neighborhood knowing him to be a free spirited man and someone that is always joyful became curious but Mr. Osas never said anything to any of his neighbors not until the deal day when his loud cry converged the whole neighborhood at his house.
He told his neighbors his wife has been kidnapped and that the kidnappers sent him a video of them rapping his wife.

In short there was this cold chill that ran down everybody’s spine. He brought out his phone to show his neighbors the video but all they saw in the video when it was played was his wife shouting ‘’April fools’’. Some of the neighbors that day felt like kidnapping his wife for real but unfortunately she had travelled to her mom’s place.
The bad thing about crying wolf when there is none is that no one will believe you by the time the wolf finally shows up.
The loud cry of Osas’ wife broke through the thick silence that held the neighborhood bound for it was very late at night. Although the neighbors were curious as to what was making her cry but because it was just few days before April Fools ’ Day, they laid their curiosity to rest, went back to sleep and that night Mr. Osas died of heart attack.
