As they ate, the grasshopper kept rubbing his forelegs and chirping.

The toad asked him to stop the noise so he could enjoy his meal, the grasshopper tried but failed and each time he made a chirp, the toad complained and asked him to be quiet which was impossible for the grasshopper to do.

The grasshopper became angry and invited the told to his house to dine with his family the next day which the toad obliged .

The next day, the toad showed up at the grasshopper’s resident and before they started eating the, grasshopper kept a bowl of water far away from the dining table and asked the told to go wash his forelegs which he did but as soon as he was done washing, he hopped back to the dining table on the washed forelegs.

As the toad was about to reach out for the food, was stopped by the grasshopper: please don’t put your dirty forelegs into my food. Go and wash them.

“But I just did” protested the angry toad.

The toad became tired of going back and forth. “You don’t want me to eat your food because you I must use legs to hop back to the dining table and I cannot help it if my forelegs get dirty from the washing bowl to the dining table”.

You are the one who started it because you knew I cannot help rubbing my legs together without making noise but you insisted I stop the noise.
