Greetings, everyone!
I so much like this topic, because it has to do with ourselves, taking responsibility, self-reliance, and being capable of handling certain personal chores without hiring help or professional help.
There are several things that I can do by myself as a young lady in my house. I can do my laundry neatly and dependently. I take my time to wash my clothes. As a full-time worker, early in the morning when I am awake to prepare for work, while preparing my meals, I'm in the bathroom washing my dirty clothes, drying them outside, and before I return from work, my clothes are already dry for removal. This is one of the things I can do comfortably for myself at home without any help from anyone. In fact, I can comfortably say that I don't feel comfortable when someone washes my clothes; I do that by myself with excitement.
Another one is washing my bathroom as often as possible because if this place is not clean, I might contract an infection, which is not good for my body, so I single-handedly wash it thoroughly and then comfortably and joyfully use it without any infection.
Moreso, I washed my used plates by myself. I have a neighbor who doesn't like washing his dirty plate after using it, unfortunately we are sharing kitchen, at times, it gets me upset, how a grown up person will eat from his plate and after that, he will keep the dirty plate for days without washing, knowing fully well that he is sharing kitchen with others, at times, expecting to wash it and I will do that, because I don't like seeing dirt or flies swarming around. I will offer to help at times, but I will push it aside for him to come back and wash it because it is his responsibility to wash his dirty plate.
Nevertheless, I take it as a full responsibility to sweep the room and tidy up my clothes in a sequential order, and I mop it when necessary.
In all, I love cooking my meals. And I go to the market and buy the items or food stuff I need to cook my food,, and I take time to wash and cook it properly by myself. There are some meals I don't eat outside unless it is well cooked by me.
I enjoy taking these tasks because they help me to be responsible, disciplined,, and more zealous about what I'm doing. Even when I get to my husband's house, I will do it without any house help or housemate coming around. And another thing is that the money that I would have paid someone, I will save it for other purposes.
I love doing things for myself, and I found joy in doing it.
