The paradigm of the Devil is one of compulsion. Using violence or threats of violence the Devil compels people to do his will. God on the other hand does not compel us, he only asks. God's paradigm is one of grace. God respects our freedom to choose, he does not force us to follow his laws, even though he has given them for our own good
