There are a number of scary events that will certainly take place when everything starts to happen. While we don't need to fear them, we should be aware of them. We should be prepared for them. We should remain grounded in the knowledge that God is with us and that he is faithful. Those of us who are fighting for good, fighting for God, should remember him and call on him when we are afraid. We are soldiers of God, he has a place prepared for us in heaven. No matter how bad things look, God and good will triumph in the end.
