Before diving into DLCs and businesses, let’s start with the essential first steps every new player should take in GTA Online. This part of the guide covers character creation, tutorial missions, and how to claim your first properties and vehicles — all without spending a dime. During character creation, you’ll see a stat distribution panel that allows you to assign points freely across several skills. It’s highly recommended to leave the stats as shown in the default layout, as they’re pre-assigned based on how hard each stat is to level up during gameplay. For example, stamina and strength are harder to improve, so Rockstar gives them more points upfront. Don’t reshuffle themunless you have a very specific reason.

🎬 Tutorial Missions — Why You Should Play Them After character creation, you’ll enter a cutscene with Lamar, who introduces you to GTA Online.
