What is EcoTracker?
EcoTracker is a new mobile app that lets you track your physical activities — currently walking and cycling — while connecting directly to the Steem, Hive, and Blurt blockchains.
The idea is simple: you move, you track, you share. Your effort gets recorded on the blockchain and becomes part of your permanent, verifiable history.
Publish your activity as a post on one or more blockchains at the end of your session — or later, directly from your history
View your activity history with all recorded data
Download the GPX file of any activity to use in other apps (OsmAnd, Strava, Komoot, Google Maps, etc.)
Login and signing handled entirely by Graphene Keychain App — your private keys never leave your device
Guest mode for users who just want to track without saving or publishing
How does it work?
Open EcoTracker and login with your blockchain account via Graphene Keychain App
Choose your activity — Walking or Cycling
Start moving — the app records your GPS track in real time
When you're done, tap Stop
Add a comment and photos if you like
Choose which blockchain(s) to publish on — Steem, Hive, Blurt, or all three
Your post is signed and published directly from your device via Graphene Keychain App — no passwords, no private keys shared
Your activity data — distance, duration, speed, elevation, calories, CO₂ saved — is included automatically in the post body in a clean, readable format.
Privacy and Security
EcoTracker never asks for your private keys. All blockchain operations are signed through Graphene Keychain App, the same trusted tool many of you already use daily. The app simply requests your approval — you stay in full control.
What's coming next?
The app is currently in beta / test phase. Several features are already planned:
🏆 Rewards system — daily, weekly and monthly prizes for the most active users, plus a random draw among all users who recorded an activity that day. Details are still being defined, but the goal is to make every walk or ride worth something.
