The value is deterministic by stake based votes. The STEEM blockchain is not designed to reward STEEM based on 'deserve' but instead on stake weight.

'Deserve' means you have some value structure with which you measure posts to apply your stake, which we all do, but beware of considering it 'obvious'.

Perhaps you value length? Maybe its obvious because it was too short for you? What you don't know is that we spent several days fine-tuning the rules enumerated in that short post for the new token. Arguments about subjective value judgement is not the point of this post.

In #oldsteem I would not have been flagged (I suspect). In #newsteem I was. And I believe this was the intent of the change.
