It is, I agree. Are you categorizing Ecency points and boosts into this? You can delegate and you might never get curation, search ecency.com advanced search option for content about people complaining and leaving Ecency because of their expectations wasn't met. Delegation and curation is not connected, curators doesn't know if particular person is delegated or earned points by delegation. They have tools to check that though and it is up to them to decide.

Why this is better? People like to use other apps, why limit them. This one we can easily ask from our curators to consider but I don't see reason.

I don't agree with grouping posh together with these things. There's potential value to be had from driving traffic to our front-ends from web2 even if the chance is small currently and our reach is limited

Yes, value I know and we have implemented social rewards where you can share your ecency.com link on twitter and author of that content gets one time Points. It was probably implemented before posh existed or around same time, don't recall.
Grouping because it is essentially action -> reward, you perform action and expect some/guaranteed reward.

That's my main issue with being able to earn points by delegating to then direct (your own stake, in a way) towards your own posts.

Again going with your first assumption, which is not the case in this instance. Did you know maximum boost you can request is with 500 Points and it is request to get around most often less than $3.3 and ask any curator when they curated any post with that amount, it is very rare and only very good quality content might get that boost approved/curated.

I feel like there's a point where there's some authors using points on farmy content, curators maybe due to it being volunteer work not doing due diligence and it costing the rest some potential curation.

Where is this feeling coming from, maybe you can share some links? Curators and guest curators as I mentioned earlier gets my utmost respect, they are really active community members, that's why they are volunteer because they do daily curation regardless anyway and it is joyful process for them. As for due diligence, yes, not everyone is detective like hivewatchers, but they use their best judgement that's why we have system to get guest curators every month, some fresh eyes.

Maybe there's also a way to incentivize curators with some rewards for the promotion curation/proper curation

There is incentive, they might get encouragement votes time to time.

If community really wants we can limit boosting to only Ecency published content, unfair for rest of community but if that's really what wider community wants, we can do that and ask curators to select those content. Need some feedback on that.
