Hive open mic week 125| Purpose cover| Do you believe in magic?
I remember listening to this song over and over when my nephew was sick. I was a medical student then and didn't know what to do to make him feel better. He had diarrhoea and I had no clue how to deal with it and he kept getting sicker.
That moment was a weird one for me because I knew I all I wanted was for him to feel better...we had tried everything we could to stop the symptoms but he kept feeling worse.
I've done my internship now and I know better now.
I sang this song this week because of the theme, that nothing is impossible. I know that there is no limit to the human spirit and with purpose...I mean purpose whose meaning is found in the people or the things you love, then we really start seeing magic happening there.
I Believe in magic...not the kind that Houdini does. I'm about the impossible things. Many people won't believe that I used to be last in my class growing up as a child, but being a medical doctor means I'm at least intelligent.
I hope you enjoy my presentation.
Here are the lyrics to the song.
Feeling like I'm breathing my last breath
Feeling like I'm walking my last steps
Look at all of these tears I've wept
Look at all the promises that I've kept
I put my all into your hands
Here's my soul to keep
I let you in with all that I can
You're not hard to reach
And you bless me with the best gift
That I've ever known
You give me purpose
Yeah, you've given me purpose
Thinking my journey's come to an end
Sending out a farewell to my friends, for inner peace
Ask you to forgive me for my sins, oh would you please?
I'm more than grateful for the time we spent
My spirit's at ease
I put my heart into your hands
Learn the lessons you teach
No matter when, wherever I am
You're not hard to reach
And you've given me the best gift
That I've ever known
You give me purpose everyday
You give me purpose in every way
Oh, you are my everything
Oh, you are my everything
Ahora he hecho mis prácticas y lo sé mejor.
Que jamás he conocido
Y me has dado el mejor regalo
Que jamás he conocido
Me das un propósito cada día
Me das propósito en todos los sentidos
Oh, tú eres mi todo
Oh, tú eres mi todo
