Throwback : TV game show called READY GET SET GO

I used to be in a television game show in the Philippines. It is called READY GET SET GO ! A noontime television game show which airs from 11-12 noon every sunday from 1992-1997

I am one of the main Host together with actors Eric Quizon, Eula Valdez, Maila Gumila, Carmina Villaroel, Patrick Guzman , Michael V and so many other guests

This used to be my playground 28years ago. I entertain tv audience by dancing, singing, making people laugh, playing games with the audience, giving prizes to winning contestants and many others that not a normal person would do on a sunday. I work hard every sunday for five years and get paid to entertain.

I got particularly very close to Eric Quizon , Dolphy's son and during that time was one of the most sought after leading man in movies. He even directed sone movies and he asked me to guest in his films. We always laugh a lot while the show is going on.

I also got very close to Eula Valdez, an award winning drama actress. We both studied in the University of Santo Tomas and we had the same college course but she was already in the movies while we were in college. After this tv game show, we still worked together in various tele novelas like Mula sa Puso. We also live both in Las Piñas so we communicate a lot until this very day. Even if she is a big star now, She havent changed a bit.

Other cast members are Carmina Villaroel and Michael V. Both are now doing well in GMA 7. Carmina during tose times was a very playful and giggly person. She was still with Rustom Padilla now BB Gandanghari back then. Michael V was just our rapper that appears before a commercial gap but showed immense talents in comedy thats why he became a regular host and eventually transfered to the other tv network.

Other cast members are Maila Gumila, of Kaluskos Musmos who is now a tv director and Patrick Guzman, a Canadian born Filipino who back then was so handsome. He became a movie star for Viva Films and is now living a simple family life.
I will always remember this tv show Ready Get Set Go. It was fun and an honor to be with these awesome co hosts and its a pleasure to entertain the Filipino audience for 5 years. My deepest gratitude to ABSCBN and to the men & women behind this much watched and extremely entertaining television game show 28 years ago.
