I'm familiar with Pain;
So, I understand what this shortness of breath means.
I understand Despair;
So when the tears come so hot, I know to let them drop.
Heartache is a friend of mine;
So when my heart clenches, I know it's a heart attack that's not clinical.
This Gloom is not alien to me;
So when my favourite food no longer appeals to me, I know just why.
I know what it is to Hurt;
So when I lie awake unable to sleep, I don't pretend I've got something to do.
I'm familiar with Heartbreak;
That's why when you said Hi, I didn't bother 'cause what's the point in meeting someone new.
