Yeah, I was in a situation where I had a person make repeated unnecessary threats of violence and slander. My objective was not call the authorities. However, a random user did. A Person tagged hivewatchers but nothing.

I was expecting further support from certian communities on some level to it least state his actions were gross. Still it didn't happen and even with a tag to hivewatchers the situation got worse as this person felt empowered seemingly.

Does this person treating violence deserve repercussions for his actions? Only if he is stupid enough to go to vegas in the outskirts where everyone has an assortment of guns and wont tolerate someone that off and obsessed. The point is the situation escalated unnecessarily and while its was disappointing that random strangers called the cops it highlighted how unwanted outside authority is drawn to the chain. They see nothing being done to mitigate.

That allows me to circle back to intent and court. If hivewatchers will just watch activity that is illegal and do nothing, which imo is fine, then why would we be under the illusion we need hivewatchers to show good faith in downvoting content for presumably the unoffical reasoning behind hivewatchers aside from we dont want copy and paste for a better user experience.

To be honest people are kind of funny. Once you start observing them they have a tendency to act appropriately. In my experience in general, mostly on Steam admittedly, that when I engaged the spammers and even now they tend to start to make actual posts or try to comment better. I have ran across a lot of people that don't know English very well and need to make money. Sometimes having someone cross their path to let them know they care is all they need to improve their posting. That is not always the case but a lot more than you might imagine.

But that is not to take away from what you see being so high up the pyramid while processing exponentially more information on this subject than I ever could or will arguably.
