Dew is water vapor which turns into a water point. Dew is also well formed when the temperature of the earth's humidity is high. When cloudy skies objects cool down longer because clouds emit heat to the earth so that moisture is difficult to form.
The dew will evaporate when the sun shines to heat the soil and warms the air temperature. Warmer air can hold more water vapor, so the moisture will evaporate.
