After my youth service, I felt getting a Job would be easy, my faith was strong, my hope was high. I rejected an offer at my place of primary assignment because I felt I had all things figured out. My account was good and I had a few bucks saved in my wallet to help me survive a few months. I already told a few of my friends my strategies and detailed steps to achieve each objective. I made so many plans for the future but forgot to make plans for the "Ifs" and the "unseen circumstances" that take on us unaware.
I returned home and the first thing I noticed was the changes that had happened over the year I've been away. Suddenly I became the bread winner, three people depending on me for their daily welfare. My younger brother was the one doing the spending until I returned and he felt a bit of relief. Soon all the money I felt I had was spent on welfare. It was one problem after another until I had to become a prayer point. For the first time I regret coming home, and not having accepted the Job offered to me.

What I learned during those times was that "I can't solve everyone's problem". I think that was what I was trying to do, and the second thing I learned was "Whether I solve their problems or not, they'll still be fine regardless". So it was me all the time trying to do beyond my capacity and life saw that as an opportunity to push me off the cliff. The only way I managed the situation was to be sincere to myself and to everyone. I traveled to a different town to stay with a friend and try to pay back my debts. But the entire event had a huge impact on me
