What were my doubts when I joined hive?
The reason for my reluctancy in accepting to join hive was the various News about scammers and platform that make use of it users and at the end vanishes with no trace. The rate of scamming was high especially in a country where there is unemployment and many labour forces desperate to make wealth through any means.

Also, ignorance contributed to my doubt, through believing only fiat currency is real. Many persons with these beliefs may find it hard trying out a new idea. I knew nothing about cryptocurrency, so I wondered how something online could be transacted for fiat. I have never seen it done, so I joined hive still having doubt but wanted to give it a try.

What has been my experience so far
If to sum it up, my experience on hive has been great,.much more than I have imagined at the start. More than financial freedom, I have gained some level of skill in writing, I have made friends from around the world, and I have learnt persistence and goal setting. It was through hive I realized how united a platform could become in ensuring every active user is encouraged.

My first week on hive wasn't pleasant, I had a tough moment learning to understand how the communities work but there were people always available to help. As a novice in cryptocurrency, it took me a long time to understand some concepts and filling in tags. As much as it seems like a challenge, the family nature of the hive platform makes it easier to fit in the community.
