What's an Uber for Turtles look like anyway?

It's just an old S10 Pickup, the type of vehicle you would expect a Turtle to ride in.

So this morning my son and I got up and loaded up a rototiller and a weed whip and headed off to a buddy's place to get them looked at.

It didn't take my buddy long to get the tiller running like a champ again but the weed whip will require further "tinkering" before it's running again.

While I watched him work (which is the easiest way for me to learn something new about fixing things) my son ran off to play with his kids. After a while he came back with a turtle. My son wanted to take him(or her, I didn't check it's undercarriage)home and keep him but my buddy said we shouldn't because turtles will eat up your garden. He asked us if we would give the turtle a lift down to the creek a mile away. I didn't see any harm in that.

And then there were two

On the way down his driveway we spotted another, slightly bigger turtle cross the road, so we decided to give these turtles a 2 for 1 Uber special to the creek. I pulled over and my son jumped out and grabbed up the other turtle and put him in the dash next to "Camo" the first turtle.

The new nameless turtle had no idea he was about to meet a new friend and go on an adventure to a far away land.

We headed on down the road driving thru creek beds, over rocks, around ruts and potholes, all the while "Camo" and "the 5th Teenage Mutant ninja turtle that everyone forgot about" just chilled in the dash of this turtle Uber.

"Camo" waiting to see if his traveling companion is going to introduce himself.

It wasn't very long and we were at the final destination of our shelled friends, I pulled over and my son put them in the creek. We were on our way a moment later and they were happy by a creek, far far far from my buddy's vegetable garden.

It was a good little adventure for a Sunday morning.
