Why divorce rate is getting higher in africa

I believe one of the main reasons why people just get married anyhow in Africa is because there are no working systems like child support or splitting of property into two after a divorce, that is why we get comfortable marrying anybody. What I mean by anybody is that most Africans don't get married for love that is why we have a high divorce rate in the country and it is now in all-time high.

Most Nigerians get married because of desperation and security. Most Nigerians will get married because most of their friends are giving birth or pressured by a parent that constantly reminds them that they are not getting any younger and this all happens with women too. African believe if you don't marry early you are not serious about life and pressure from family and peers can push a man to just marry without even thinking about what is best for him. Is only Nigeria I see where people will make jest of you for being single if being single is a crime.

Another reason why people get married in Nigeria that is common among women is for money, the situation in the country is bad and people are trying to secure by trying to get those that can help them financially, getting married for security purposes is ever why but common in Africa because will a will lot love you at all but agree to marry you hoping that she will love you as time goes on not knowing marriage is another form of responsibility on it own.

Working system

People apply pressure on someone because there is no consequence for their actions if the marriage does not work out, in Nigeria there is no way you can hold a to pay for a child's support or choose not to do a court wedding to avoid any forms of property sharing, I know this might not have safe a lot of marriages in the western world because most of this people are financially stable but this will help in Africa where the struggle is real and will not just get married but always do the right thing not because of pressure or security but because of love.
