Anytime I see the opportunity ruleset these days I am very careful because I know if I try to focus on my power in dept alone I might be playing into the opponent's hands. The first thing I do is create a strategy that will increase my damage power or go with the monster that has a taunt ability. this taunt monster must be able to absorb so many attacks and probably use a monster that can bring it back to life severally.
Using a monster with high damage is very good, especially in an opportunity ruleset but the game is changing every day, and if you have tried this before the introduction of the soulbond monsters you probably might have won but now you might be playing into your opponent hands because that what is expecting you do and you will get punished for that.
If you look at this match before play you might have thought I am dead and that my opponent will deal with me but the game changes immediately my monster dies. Within a few seconds, I already lost two monsters but the monster was positioned that way so that they can die early. These monsters let us believe the concept behind death is not the end.
Martyr is very good in this ruleset which gave my monster extra damage and extra spend in this match, it made the battle looks so easy because scatter magic damage from chaos dragon is a killer punch that is needed to just do the finishing and get the job done.
Conclusion
Using the right monsters in the right rule set can make you a lot of money because now you need all the knowledge you can get and get better to fight in every ruleset and get better. Working strategy equals a lot of money these days.
