Another entry for the #monomad challenge..
The Aletsch Glacier in Switzerland with a length of 23km is the largest glacier in the Alps. A monument, wonderful to look at. So it comes as no surprise that the whole area has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sadly, this cannot protect it from slowly retreating.
