Safety at Home:Is Simply Protecting Yourself and Your Loved Ones From The Occurrence Of Injury, Losses, Diseases And Danger.
Home is where the heart is, and it's also where we expect to feel safe and secure. However, accidents and injuries can happen even in the comfort of our own homes. According to statistics,thousands of people die each year from unintentional injuries and diseases in the home, and millions more are treated in emergency rooms for non-fatal injuries and contaminated disease in the hospital.
With the high rate of infections and diseases in the world today, we are mostly always advised to pay keen attention to our health as we step out everyday like it is most commonly said that safety first in everything you do, whereas Health is Wealth.
Firstly,as an individual, my role in keeping my home healthy and safe includes:
Maintaining cleanliness: Regularly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, floors, and bathrooms.
Practicing good hygiene: Washing of hands frequently, shower regularly, and brush teeth twice a day.
Managing waste: Dispose of trash and recyclables properly, and keep your home free of clutter.

Storing of food and water safely: Keep food at proper temperatures, and store water in clean containers.
Maintaining equipment and appliances: Regularly inspect and maintain your home's systems, such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Being mindful of pest control: Seal entry points, store food properly, and consider professional pest control methods if needed.
Having a emergency plan: Prepare for natural disasters, power outages, and other emergencies.
Staying informed: Stay up-to-date on product recalls, safety notices, and health informations.
Taking care of yourself:Most importantly Get enough sleep, exercise regularly, and manage stress to keep your immune system strong.
Conducting regular safety checks: Identify potential hazards, such as tripping hazards, fire risks, and electrical issues.
By taking these steps, you can significantly contribute to a healthy and safe home environment.
