A few days ago I was at my mother's apartment and we were talking about the flowers she took to the cemetery that day.
After that, we told the story about our loved ones, about the life we had, about the events that marked our lives.
I remembered a large family album containing some of my first photographs.
I picked up the album and flipped through it, snapping some of the photos I thought I'd share at some point in one of the communities that have a connection to the family...

And then, on Friday, I see the topic that #galenkp gave us as a choice
• Tell us about a single impactful and pivotal moment in your childhood, either good or bad.

And that topic dictates that I now share some of those pictures on Hive... Pictures that remind me of sad days.

From the story of my parents, I knew that I had a happy childhood, for the first few years.
The three of them, my mother, my father and my sister watched with great joy their little son and beloved brother growing up, learning to walk, playing...

For as long as I can remember, I have known that I have an innate investigative spirit. I guess that's why even as a baby, when I was just walking, I liked to stretch.

To begin with, the inventory of the closets in the apartment where we lived. The apartment we lived in was my playground.

Back then, I wasn't ashamed to defecate in front of the camera.

My first birthday was greeted with happiness and joy.

When I was a little older, in a family where my father was an avid smoker, I often played with his cigarettes and mouthpieces, so I was often photographed pretending to smoke...

This behind me is my grandfather, who was ill at the time (I will surely tell his story one day, because he was one of the prisoners from Goli Otok).

It was a happy time for my family, until the moment my sister was diagnosed with an incurable disease.

This girl with the doll in the picture, my older sister, left this world shortly after my fourth birthday, after one of the few color photos that remain as a memory.

After 4 years of taking pictures with Santa Claus, this year I was alone. And that's why I wasn't happy.

There were many happy moments in my life later (when my younger brother, my nephew, godson, cousin came into the world), but also many sad moments (when family members, friends, godfathers, colleagues left me), but I think that this was definitely the saddest thing that happened, not only in my life, but also in the life of my family.
The sadness that my parents had then, as well as the tears in my mother's eyes to this day (and in my eyes as I write this), whenever we talk about my sister, may have subconsciously affected my entire life, leaving me without descendants.
What do I know, it's fate...

I cannot give this post a different name, I was very saddened by the memory, which I still wanted to share, as a permanent memory in the form of pictures that I will keep on blochchain

Thank you #galenkp for this topic and sorry that I can't write a longer text, I can't do it with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes...
