A lot of this is reinforced by people creating echo chambers on social media as well. While I do not participate in FB I do know people that have unfriended anyone that doesn't fall into their covid worldview even if they have known them for decades or they are relatives. It's just sad. Where I live there are a lot of Covid Karens that seem to feel as though it is their duty to police other people's actions as well making videos of anyone who doesn't fall in line.

It's all really sad to me.
