It has been a very frustrating year for those of us that desperately wish there was some actual journalism in the world these days because other than very rare instances such as the Economist, which as far as I can tell is the only unbiased publication in existence that has the misfortune of being both a bit boring and also behind a paywall that I refuse to pay, I don't know of any single media outlet or publication that doesn't have extreme bias.
This Hunter Biden laptop thing is just another example of this.
Whether or not the Hunter Biden laptop is a factor is a matter of perspective and one that this guy happens to believe wouldn't make a bit of a difference even if networks were reporting on it. The problem is that they aren't and the fact that the left-leaning networks don't even devote any airtime to it just kind of tells us what we already knew: They are not news stations, they are simply mouth-pieces for political ideologies.
In my mind, the lives of a political candidates children shouldn't really be a factor in whether or not a person should vote for a candidate or not and both sides of the 2020 election are guilty of this seeing as how every single member of the Trump family has had their names and histories drug through the mud by the media at one point or another. One of the more dispicable instances is when they actually went after Barron Trump, who was less than 10 years old when his father was campaigning in 2015/2016
There is no doubt in my mind that Hunter Biden is a problematic child of a very powerful man and he certainly has his demons. He also has benefited by being related to Joe but come on man! this isn't the first time that the child of someone powerful has gotten a free pass on life due to nepotism. This isn't an exception, this is the rule in powerful families.
The problem I have with the whole laptop thing is that there definitely is some shady stuff on that laptop and except for some initial denials, no one is trying to say that the information isn't genuine that is on it. The problem I have is that CNN, ABC, MSNBC, NYC, WaPo and on and on and on are acting as though the situation doesn't exist and those on the right such as Fox and Breitbart are talking about little else at the moment.
Now I want all of us to imagine if Don Jr.'s laptop was in question: The situation would be exactly the opposite and we all know this would be the case.
Thomas Rid of the Washington Post actually stated this on the record

There are are only a few days left before the election and I, like most of you out there, am really looking forward to this whole messy and stupid campaign coming to a close. I'm at the point right now where I don't think that either side winning is going to make much of an overall difference as far as the way things are managed in this country. I do feel that if there is one good thing that has come out of all of this is the fact that most of the country, and the world has come to the realization over the past 4 years that the media masters are completely full of crap and can not be trusted at all... and very few people out there believe that their news station of choice is anything other than a group of activists that are posturing for a particular political team.
I would say that it is almost certain that Hunter was using his father's position for personal gain and the story about "The Big Guy" getting kickbacks is almost certainly true as well but let me tell you something that you should probably already know: This is how the elite operate and anyone pretending as though this isn't the case should get their heads out of their asses. There are plenty of reasons to think that Joe Biden is a terrible candidate (he is) but his son being a drug-abusing brat who uses his family's connection for personal gain is not really news folks. CNN pretending as though this is the reason they are not reporting on it is just a flat out lie and I think even CNN fans realize this.
