As I mentioned in my previous "bribed a cop" post from more than six months ago, I don't wear the seat belt when I drive. The reason for that is immobility of my neck spine and I have a document that my doctor signed to show to the cops when they stoop me on the road. However, that piece of paper is not official and there is no law that protects me in those situations. So it all depends on good will of the cops.
I was very busy last few days, I had a lot of work to do.
As you could see, I didn't have any time to post something on Steemit last two days. Yesterday I didn't fell asleep, I fainted. And of course, this morning I overslept, I just didn't hear the alarms. So I woke up 20 minutes before I had to be on my job.
In 10 minutes I did all that I do every morning for at least 40 minutes. When I sat in my car, I was still kinda dreaming. Then I decided to take a shortcut.
One kilometer from my home, an armed hero was standing, whole in blue, with a big lollipop with word "stop" on it.
He was looking the world from above and acting so important.
Late forties, his eyes have been through a lot. You can't imagine that concrete face smiling, so when he stopped me, I thought: there goes my licence...
He started yelling on me calling me a criminal with no seat belt, so I showed him the document that my doctor gave me - and the idiot ripped the paper in front of my eyes screaming:
"This is not a legal document! I will not be merciful to you! If you can't turn your neck, then stay home in bed and don't drive!"
OK, that was the moment when I wanted to rip his head from his neck. He saw that in my eyes and told me:
"Now you'll have to pay the fine of 2000 kn (~300$)!"
I have some experience with this kind of situation, so I asked:
"Can we make our own deal!"
He told me:
"Shut a fuck up, or you'll spend a day in a prison because of your words!"
Luckily for me, his phone rang.
It was obviously his wife on the phone! She was so angry at him about something and yelling so loudly that I could hear every word. It seemed that they have financial troubles and that she was the man in their home. He had to listen!
His strict and mad eyes turned to eyes of a victim. He wanted to get rid of her from the phone, so he can continue to torture me, but she was persistent to tell him what waits for him when he comes home because of her unpaid phone bill! And I was seriously late on my work.
When his conversation was over, he told me:
"OK, give me just 200 kn (~30$) and you can go! Just go!"
