If I haven’t wasted so much time trying to perfect my Swift knowledge, I would probably have 10 new posts... but each I turn my computer ON, I just go to Xcode and step by step, I came very close.
I posted about SteemShutter in my last post, you can check it on my blog page, but for those who just want to read this, SteemShutter is Steem-personalized camera application for iPhone that adds your Steemit username as the signature on your photo. At first, it was not Steem-based, it was Steemit-based so I was warned that I mustn’t use Steemit logo (the green one) in my app.
But blue is even better! It looks beautiful, just check those images with button made my
@svarozich.
SteemShutter will come with “signature creator” that offers you 8 different fonts, but one of the greatest things about this app is that you will be able to give yourself a huge selfvote!
So I managed to make the app that can get the best from your IPhone’s camera hardware.
I didn’t copy some code from github, but I downloaded hundreds of them, really trying to learn all about it.
So what I have already?
Camera device created using AVFoundation framework with really beautiful view on your display. I have selfie camera switch button, I imported flash device, “tap to focus” function, I figured how to save the signature and Steem logo over taken photo... I also successfully added 8 great filters that you can use for your entries to almost all photo contests.
But...
I stuck with auto-rotation. Each time when I change my device’s orientation from portrait to landscape, I get really messy view. Although I read much about it, I tried with numerous codes, and nothing seems to work... So, I’m just letting you know that I still do everything I can for Steemit and my followers, but because of this trouble with UIImageOrientation, I have very low activity on the network. I just cannot think about anything else, so if anyone with more experience reads this, please help me out!
