Hoy quiero presentarles a mi sobrina Luna, una bebé que ha llegado para llenar mis días del más puro amor y de mucha felicidad. Luna es hija de mi hermana mayor, tiene 1 año de edad, es muy simpática, inteligente y hermosa.
Desde que supimos que su mamá estaba embarazada a todos en la familia nos invadió una inmensa alegría, sumadas las ansias de querer saber cómo iba a ser su carita, sus manitos, a quién iba a parecerse, si iba a ser niña o niño, y qué nombre le darían sus padres.
Luna, así se llamó la princesa de la familia desde que estaba en el vientre de su madre, y así pasaron los meses, hasta que el 10 de febrero de 2022 nació la bebé más linda del planeta. Nació en otro país, ya que sus padres tienen algunos años viviendo fuera de Venezuela, así que la alegría y la nostalgia de no poder estar cerca nos invadía.
Today I want to introduce you to my niece Luna, a baby girl who has arrived to fill my days with pure love and happiness. Luna is my older sister's daughter, she is 1 year old, very friendly, intelligent and beautiful.
Since we found out that her mother was pregnant, all of us in the family were filled with immense joy, added to the anxiousness of wanting to know how her little face was going to be, her little hands, who she was going to look like, if it was going to be a girl or a boy, and what name her parents were going to give her.
Luna, that was the name of the princess of the family since she was in her mother's womb, and so the months went by, until February 10, 2022, when the most beautiful baby on the planet was born. She was born in another country, since her parents have some years living outside Venezuela, so the joy and the nostalgia of not being able to be close invaded us.
Conocimos a Luna a través de fotografías y videollamadas. ¡Que alegría que existan las redes sociales! nos ayudaron a sentirnos un poco más cerca de nuestros seres amados. Pero siempre soñaba con poder estar junto a ella y darle besos y abrazos.
Hace 9 días, gracias a Dios, a la vida, a los abuelitos y padres de Luna, ese sueño de poder verla, cargarla y transmitirle todo el amor que siento por ella se hizo posible, y soy la tía más feliz y dichosa que haya existido.
We got to know Luna through pictures and video calls. So glad social networks exist! they helped us feel a little closer to our loved ones. But I always dreamed of being able to be with her and give her hugs and kisses.
Nine days ago, thanks to God, to life, to Luna's grandparents and parents, that dream of being able to see her, hold her and transmit all the love I feel for her became possible, and I am the happiest and most joyful aunt that ever existed.
Luna en su hogar tiene un núcleo familiar pequeño, así que viajar junto a su mamá a conocer a su familia materna fue algo nuevo para ella, al principio estaba un poco asustada y desconfiada, por lo que teníamos que ganarnos su confianza y su afecto.
Así que tuve que dar lo mejor de mí cantando y bailando para que notara que era una tía amigable. Hasta que por fin, al segundo día de conocerla estaba sentada junto a ella y su madre y estiró sus brazos para que la cargara, ¡que emociooón! pensé que pasaría más tiempo para poder ganarme su confianza.
Luna has a small nuclear family at home, so traveling with her mom to meet her mother's family was something new for her, at first she was a little scared and distrustful, so we had to gain her trust and affection.
So I had to do my best singing and dancing to make her notice that I was a friendly aunt. Until finally, on the second day of meeting her, I was sitting next to her and her mother and she stretched her arms for me to hold her, I was so excited! I thought it would take more time to gain her trust.
De los días que he compartido con Luna les puedo contar que:
Luna y yo ya tenemos la confianza para salir a dar paseos en su coche sin su mami, porque ella ama los paseos.
En su primera visita a Venezuela, probó la lechoza o papaya, y le encantó. También le gusta mandarina, cambúr, y posiblemente todas las frutas.
Luna ama los animales, creo que le gustan más que las personas, siempre quiere acariciarlos y jugar con ellos.
Le gustar cantar y bailar con los bichikids y la granja de Zenón.
Se rehúsa a caminar porque gatear se le da muy bien.
Le encantan los baños, y luego de ellos luce sus mejores outfits.
Ama muchísimo a su mamá.
Sabe comer por si sola, aunque luego se debe limpiar todo el desastre.
Sé que ya lo mencioné antes pero soy una tía muy feliz, deseo de todo corazón que todo el tiempo que pueda compartir junto a mi sobrina ella sienta lo mucho que la amo y lo importante que es en mi vida, ya sea paseando, jugando y bailando sus canciones favoritas.

From the days that I have shared with Luna I can tell you that:
Luna and I already have the confidence to go for rides in her car without her mommy, because she loves rides.
On her first visit to Venezuela, she tried lechoza or papaya, and she loved it. She also likes mandarin, cambur, and possibly all fruits.
Luna loves animals, I think she likes them more than people, she always wants to pet them and play with them.
She likes to sing and dance with the bichikids and Zenon's farm.
He refuses to walk because he is very good at crawling.
She loves baths, and after baths she wears her best outfits.
She loves her mommy very much.
She knows how to eat on her own, even though she has to clean up the mess afterwards.
I know I mentioned it before but I am a very happy aunt, I wish with all my heart that all the time I can share with my niece she feels how much I love her and how important she is in my life, whether it is walking, playing and dancing to her favorite songs.
