My entry to barbara-orenya@barbara-orenya’s #seasonhunt challenge.

Hello everyone,
Here is my article on how to participate in the Mushroom Hunting Challenge.
The photos taken below are all personal and were taken during my last two outings in October. Some photos have already been published in a previous article, I want to warn if this must be an element that excludes my participation in the competition.

As you have understood by the main language used in this article, I am French and I live in the great suburbs of Paris: a region called Ile-de-France. This highly urbanized region in its center is still rural in its exterior and offers walkers some of the most beautiful forests in France: the forest of Rambouillet or that of Fontainebleau (well known to climbers) for example.

Fairly discussed: here are some photos of my research in the forest of Fontainebleau and the surrounding woods.

We call these mushrooms little champagne corks. Can you guess why? Sauteed on the pan, very crunchy: a treat !!

These are mushrooms that I find around oak trees, there are often several of them next to each other. This one began to be devoured by slugs

These are the species that I collect but there are other edible ones that I appreciate less so I leave them to other pickers without damaging them.

They are not yet ripe. You have to wait for the hat to open: they are cooked on the hat in a pan, the feet can be used in omelets, soups or sauces.

Les lactaires améthystes sont appréciés de certains. Moi, je trouve la couleur peu engageante.

Amethyst lactaria are popular with some. Me, I find the color uninviting.

Méfiance devant l'amanite vireuse, tu pourrais t'empoisonner.
Distrust of the white amanita, you could poison yourself. The most beautiful mushrooms are not necessarily the best for your health.

A funny mushroom: I think it's an ear of Judah?

It seems to me that we find beef tongues on all continents.

The prehistoric men of our region used it very dry to constitute tinder to light their fires.

I will end this article with some photos of fly amanite that the organizer of the contest seems to appreciate !!

You will forgive me for my level of English, I used an automatic translator. I transformed some sentences so that they came as close as possible to my thinking.
