Join me in my quest to eliminate sugar from my diet. It is an addiction I am told.
My friend Robert House gave me permission to share this:-
Do you crave something sweet. I crave the sweet and especially after a meal. Can you go a day, or a week without something sweet? How about a month? Many of us cannot leave off the sweet. We are said to have a "sweet tooth."
Now we must realize that if we are a diabetic we can ruin our health and even cause horrible things like amputations and yet many a diabetic seems to unable to leave off the sugar/high fructose corn syrup etc. We are not satisfied until our sweet tooth has been satisfied.
Sounds like an addiction to me.
Start now by cutting back on the sweets. One step at a time and remember as with any addiction we have to be ever so determined. I have found that I fail when trying to do it "cold turkey" So my plan is to take this one step at a time. How about half and half tea. So I have left out 1 teaspoon of sugar. It is a start, however small.
Do some research on the unhealthy results of consuming a lot of sugar. Start reading the ingredients of everything for a while and you will be amazed at how much sugar and or high fructose corn syrup is in so many products.
To a better health and longer vibrant life.
