May I hear the voices of angels and follow the weary shepherds – the refuse, the forgotten, the cast-asides – and go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, and see it again as if for the very first time, if only in my dreams. Waiting is the hardest part, but it can be the best part too.

The Holiday Season is almost upon us. I wanted to take a moment before it gets hectic and just say that I look forward to seeing many of you in the year to come. May we live in a world filled with peace and prosperity, for me, for you.

I revel in the air of Christmas. I do. There is just that certain magic, with the memorable carols quietly playing in the background of my mind. The smells that you can only associate with Christmas… a mixture of certain spices, Christmas trees, and candy canes with that peppermint twist.

Peace on Earth, goodwill to men.

To all my friends far and near, there is love in my heart for all of you. I may be absent from time to time, but that doesn't lessen how I feel about you.

Last year I got more Christmas cards than I have ever gotten in my entire life. They came from all parts of my world. They had so many heartwarming messages in between the front and back of them. In the past couple of years, I have not gotten as many out as I wanted sometimes pushing out Valentine's cards to the ones I hadn't gotten out. I remember getting letters and cards from cousins and aunts when I first moved away, recounting family events that I had missed. I was still on an adventure, but the other part of me was a tad homesick, I missed being in the middle of all that family.

I admit to liking some of the newer versions of things, usually having to do with the video. I am visual as well as auditory. Of course, this one is both. I fully own that I love this song, the beat, the music, and especially her powerful voice.

Time waits for no one and, suddenly we find our lives deeply immersed in the everyday part of life with no time to call your own. Let go and let Christmas be born in your heart. It's not about the gifts, my friends, it is more about the spirit of Christmas,

We had a day today here. Decorating and making fruit cakes to send out. Don't judge! Some people like fruit cake! Honest! Today is a #BeautifulSunday hosted by @Ace108. It just wouldn't be Sunday without it! This post is also for a #SublimeSunday in the making, by the Meister of my morning, c0ff33a@c0ff33a. I do love my c0ff33a@c0ff33a and he likes eclectic! A match made in heaven, where you share your Sunday, wherever you are, whatever you do.

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

There are flowers, as always, to color your world. #alwaysaflower I am so amazed at the different poinsettias that are on display. Growing up, there was the basic red and white, now, if you can dream it, they can probably make your wish come true. I want to thank you for stopping by, especially if you left me some words and just like that, this post is over, come back tomorrow and we will do it again and again until we get it right or until the world is right, whichever comes first. For the countdown to Christmas, I give how many days are left and one Christmas picture. There are 18 days 21 hours 7 minutes 21 seconds until Christmas! Have a most fabulous night!

Love to all, Denise ❤️

How Do I Love Thee?

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
